Supporting the Community

The Williston Basin chapter of the American Petroleum Institute is a nonprofit focused on service and support for the local oil and gas industry as well as the surrounding community. The members of the API promote the improvement of the energy industry through education and community action. They raise money through the golf tournament and other events to support organizations and projects that make a positive impact on the community as well as scholarships.

Williston API Scholarships

The Williston API has established and funded endowments at Williston State College, Montana Tech, and the University of North Dakota providing scholarships for students pursuing degrees in geology, petroleum engineering and petroleum operator careers.

Each year the industry eagerly awaits the golf tournament as a day to enjoy our areas beautiful golf courses, The Links of North Dakota and Eagle Ridge Golf Course. Companies put together teams while others opt to become a Hole Sponsor.
